The PC-21 is a modern training aircraft for air forces developed by Pilatus Aircraft Ltd.
Pilatus Aircraft Ltd., in co-operation with EADS Deutschland GmbH and AMST-Systemtechnik GmbH, has developed a flight simulation system for the PC-21.
In 2007 Reiser Systemtechnik GmbH (as a sub-contractor of EADS) has designed, manufactured and delivered three fully equipped PC-21 simulation cockpits including a Power Rack (comprising the complete power control and distribution for the simulation cockpit and its surrounding equipment).
The cockpit shell, as well as some cockpit panels and instruments are original PC-21 items adapted for the use within the simulation CAN bus architecture with CANaerospace protocol.
Original PC-21 levers or handles (like the Pedal Adjustment Lever or the Gust Lock) have been equipped with sensoring modules in order to enable the system to poll their current status.
The majority of the instrument panel items are replicas designed and manufactured by Reiser Systemtechnik GmbH. The panels and instruments described on the following sites are examples of those replicas.
